ok 2 questions.firstly...when you bring your breaks to the MPC.. u record in stereo or mono usually? just wonderin since im new to this.

secondly .....

is this proper the way i set a song up? or am i going thru too much.

seq1
t1-3 drums
t4 sample
t5 filtered bass

than if i want the intro i would usually make another sequence with
the sample and bass minue the drums lets say.or whatever it may be.

than i take it too song mode and load the sequences how id want it played out.

i just dont know if im doing it how its ment to be done? it works so i guess it dont matter THAT much,...but i would like to make things as simple as possable and any answers would be appreciated.just wanna do things correctly!!

ps..........any chicago heads on this thing?

i usually do my drums in mono, and pan in the mpc.

about the song mode thing, that sounds about right, i usually dont make my beats in the box though, i use my mpc with logic it speeds up my workflow. but whatever works for you.

record drums in mono, decide on left or rite whichever one has the strongest drum hits. usually one side will be cleaner.
