When I save a sequence turn off my mpc then, return and load the very same sequence I have no sound although the track is, playing. Is, this an issue of saving the program as well as, the sequence?

P.S. I'm a mega newbie and forgive me if, I didn't say HI to the Forum.

Thanks in advance.

The sequence data is midi information on what programs to use, what notes to play, what volumes to play them at etc. If there are no programs and samples loaded onto the ram then these cannot be triggered by the sequencer.

Welcome to the forum! :D

you have to save the program and sounds, too. you cant just save the sequence and then pull it back up.

check out the manual on saving

1. Switch to the JJ OS, OS 1 4.99 or if you cant afford the 30$ by any means use the free 3.08.
2. Reformat your CF cards/HD with the JJ OS (back up your data before if needed)
3. To save your work best way imo is to use a new folder for each project, save "whole memory" to that folder.
4. Load the prj file, the very first file shown in the folder and you should be exactly where you left.

The JJ OS part is not for advertising, i just wouldnt recommend creating a folder to anyone using a akai os...

Oh and btw, rtfm!
The akai manual still applies to the JJ OS (1) so thats always a good start.
