Mpc 1000 and Fantom XA

Im trying to connect my fantom xa to my 1000 so that I can play chords from the XA and record them into the 1000. If you can help Id appreciate it.

As in, you are trying to sample the sounds from the keyboard into the mpc, or you are trying to midi the two devices together?
