"Unknown File Type" Help Please!!!!!

I recently purchased " Beat Making On The MPC2000XL" and I am having problems with loading up the tutorial files to the MPC2000XL. I am saving the tutorial files to a floppy, but when I go to load the disk in the MPC it says" Unknown file type". Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong????

I replied to the email you sent me - basically if you could tell me the exact file name that you are trying to load up without success, I'll be able to work out the problem for you. Also, did you extract and transfer your files as per:

Basically the only files in the download that will generate that 'unknown file type' error in your MPC are the PDF file (i.e. the ebook) and a spreadsheet file we include in the 'naming' chapter. Both these need to be opened in your computer. And of course, the zip file you download in the first instance must first be extracted with winzip or similar.
