hi !

i'm thinking to buy a mpc for midi tracking an to create some tight and good tracks

i'm currently using with pleasure a Aw1600 hardiskrecorder

the thing is its audio only and i'm getting fed up with 90% good tracks but with a few glitches that i cant correct

and a PC is a nogo in my studio

so i was thinking to get an mpc and first record my tracks in midi edit them and record them on the aw

is this possible?

and can someone explain in short how deep edditing can get?

what i want to do is in a track a faulty note removed or changed play it and if its ok quantize it and record it on the aw... ( with this idea am i gonna lose the possibility to record multiple track with different inputs?)

Thanks a lot

JD :)

I'd go with 1000 and jjos.... OR wait for the 5000, might be tight.

definitely the 1000 WITH JJ OS. I'm not so sure about the 5000. ($$$$)

The 1000 is the perfect size for traveling AND a small home studio.
