Does this make sense? midi/computer/mpc questions..

I'm just gunna say what I think I'm trying to do.. my buddy's giving me one of those "this cd has every keyboard vst on it" deals. and I'm wondering - would i midi out the sounds to a keyboard from the computer, the keyboard to my mpc to record the drums in the mp, and run reason 4 to follow the mpc's clock? does this make sense?? HELP. computers are not my thing.
