bring beats from mpc to computer

how can i bring my beats from the mpc to the computer?

i have a mixer and interface hooked up too but i dont think its properly set up... if this helps. thanks

you gotta record it in.

plug your MPC's audio outs into the inputs of your interface. then load up a DAW and record it into there.

yea that aint workin. i been tryin to get this shit set up for a minute now but nothin fixes this problem. like i went out got a mixer cause the interface wasnt workin and shit but it still wont work. i tried it on logic 7, cubase le, and garageband. ive got my keyboards audio plugged into the mixer along with the mpc. i got the mixer's audio running into the input on the interface. the midi is all hooked up too. it doesnt pick up any sounds in the DAW but it will pick up the mic.

i HAVE BEEN USING aUDACITY... iT IS FREE WARE.... And it is lowtech until you can figure everything out.

need more details mang. what kind of interface? is it phantom powered? do you have to select mic / line?

i got a presonus firebox. yea its phantom powered. so is the mixer. a behringer 1202 xenyx mixer

you dont need a mixer to record into a computer program. i have a firebox too and no mixer. depending on the program you might need to set the program to use asio drivers. that should be in the manual.


im not familiar with any of those programs, but in protools, you have to set up an aux track and set the inputs to recieve sound.

in fl studio, you have to set the correct inputs in the mixer window in order to receive audio.

with that said, have you checked the manuals of the programs to see exactly how to record audio? each program is different i imagine, but should be similar in regards to having to select the proper inputs.

if you know this already, sorry, but your post is extremely vague. you need to post the equipment youre using, your audio routes, and program settings, otherwise we dont really know what is going on other than you cant record. im sure that a lot of people here have the same or similar setup as you, so figuring out your issue shouldnt be a problem.

i would first check the manuals of the programs though and figure out how to record audio in the program.

btw phantom power is for condenser mics. you dont need to use it to record from the mpc.

yea i dont know if u did this already but in your daw go to preferences or something like that and make sure you select your audio hardware i think the firebox you said.
