quick question

i this is going to sound stupid but i bought a midi/audio interface with only two ins those this mean i cant record 4 tracks at the same time in to my daw? anyone one use a midi/audio interface with only 2 ins to track into daw? i got it kus it was cheaper i just want to know if im the only one trackin with only two analog ins

it can depend on the interface - if it has two analog ins AND digital sp/dif than you might be able to track four channels at once.
to get better help it is always good to say what hardware you have so people have a chance to point you at features you might have overlooked.

It does depend on the interface but, with two 1/4" ins you probably can record two mono signals. Spdif is also a really good way to record. You could track your MPC in stereo through spdif. And your decks through the other two ins. I don't know why I just assume you have turntables and an MPC. What interface do you have? What instruments are you trying to record?

i had the m-audio fire wire 410 which i returned after a few days toying with it i didnt like the fact that there were two analog ins only i was lookin for four since you know mpc 1000, and i had a couple syncing problem so i decided to return it and im gona save up money to get something like a motu 828 mk3?

and i will be recording instruments in the future but for the moment just tracking, will also be layering vocals

Why are you asking if you do not even have this interface? I consider the MPC to be an instrument. The MOTU is a sweet unit. With alot more than 2 inputs. Still not sure why you would inquire about a product you already returned.

i had a 410 firewire m-audio and returned it kus it had no only 2 analog inputs while i need 4 and other things like look for a higher sounding quality one and willing to pay buck now do you get me? oh i posted and then i decided to return it 4 hours after so yea

828 all day. I hear lots of good about MOTU. And this is one of their higher end products. Lots of ins and outs, mad flexibility, ADAT is sick, always go with firewire, not usb.
