question about mpc 500

I got a specific question about mpc 500. I want to buy one, but i heard that it's worse than other mpcs. I know that there is less functions and 12 pads, but my mpc will be only for doing drums and transfering it into computer, and there i will mix it. If mpc 500 would be as good as 1000 for this task?

If you only want the 500 for your drums, then the 500 will do good for you. I used it to make complete beats with it, eventhough it's more limited then the other mp's. What you would really miss on the 500 would be a decent chop function, but you probably won't use it anyway, so buying a bigger mp would be a waste of money for you.
