new need help with playback

I can record a sample at full volume and assign it to a pad but after that i run across a major problem. Once i trigger the sample from the pad the play back is barely audible. What could the problem be? Do i need some sort of preamp or is there a way to fix the levels? Thanks in advance.

Check your levels...input that is.

have a look at the sample in trim mode - does it have decent levels?
if not, go into edit mode and normalise it.

another possibility - go into step edit mode and have a look at the velocity level - change it to 127 (the highest).
are you hitting the pads hard enough? might need to the change the sensitivity iof the pads.

Did you turn Full Level on?
