MPC 1000

I JUST BOUGHT AN MPC 1000 TODAY AND IT DOESNT HAVE THE MANUALS OR ANYTHING WITH IT. ONLY A POWER CORD AND A 1GB COMPACT FLASH CARD. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PUT SOUND INTO MY MPC 1000. DO I NEED ANYMORE EQUIPMENT TO START MAKING BEATS? LEMME KNOW PLEASE... APPRECIATE THE HELP YALL. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

1) Line input connected to the output of something that makes sound + Mode, Record
or
USB Wav. Files

2) Depends (on what kind of beats you wanna make) but most likely yes. Start with some drum sounds from computer and maybe sample long sounds from an mp3 player or any other audio source (i.e. records, cds, field recordings, movie clips, ect.)
