WAV. files not registering on 500's load screens

Hey,

I'm using a MPC 500 and am trying to import wav. files from an ibookG4 (running 10.3.4 OS). The root folder shows on my desktop and the files appear to have copied into the root file (i.e. the icon copies etc.) but when I get back to the load screen of the mpc they aren't there (not in any of the menus). When I re-connect computer and mpc they are still in the root file.

The files are 16 bit, 44.1 etc. and they were cut in sound studio (the icon is different to normal wav. files). I can't find anything specific to this problem on the forums yet.

Can someone advise or direct me to the answer.

Your mpc can't import .wav files.

If you can convert that to data format rather than audio, you should be good at that point.
