New Kid On The Block

whattup heads.

i been making beats for about 3 or 4 years, just gotten hard into sampling vinyl instead of composing from scratch

after a long dream and nearly paying off my 5 grand debt on my credit card i then added $1200 to that debt

i put myself in a shit position but ****
now i have an mpc

its coming with a 120gb hdd and 128 ram
1000 model with the new pads off an ebay store


any tips on what else i might need to get it thumping?

Just some know how.... You seem to be set as far as the MPC goes...... Not much more you NEED to do.

Sorry, forgot to mention getting the JJOS once you have it... Don't waste your time with the Akai OS, in comparison, Akai's is garbage.

big up to the sydney mpc massive!

if you've been making beats already then you've got a studio set up, right?
this is just another instrument you've added to the studio. plug it into your mixer or straight into your monitors. sample something and then turn it up up so i can hear it from my place.

the manual wil explain everything.

oh yeah, install the jj operating system. it has many more useful features.

akai manual or, "making beats on the mpc 1000"

im gonna go straight for the latest JJOS so should i get a manual for that... if so, where from?

The tutorial offered by this site is a good idea. I have it and love it. And since you will prob ugrade the OS pretty quickly, the tutorial will help even more since it now comes with a JJOS version.
