I have an old turntable sittin around my attic somewhere, i havent found it yet. what i want to know is can you sample onto an mpc without a dj mixer? on any old turntable? might sound like a ridiculous question, but thats why i'm here. I've never sampled from vinyl, but i have a ton of bangin records i want to use and i just want to know where i stand b4 i spend my whole weekend lookin for that old p.o.s.....any advice would be appreciated

do you have an amp around the house -- many older amps have a phono input, that's a preamp and will work for sampling.

word you just run the out put of the amp to your MPc INput....just keep your gains at a min first.get sound thru the MPC while in record/sample mode.


if you have(doubt it,but) an amp that you use to run the TT b4 shloud work.
