Clean electric Bass solo/intro to chop for Single notes??

I know how diggers guard their secrets, but basically i just need some hints.

I was on the hunt for some clean electric bass samples to chop into one shots (even just one solid suspended low note) and after going through my collection, i realized i have nothing for good electric bass notes, a few with some good double bass that i've already sampled to use for the jazzy beats, but thats it.

I picked up some Stanley Clarke LPs hoping to find some clean bass notes on there, but no luck. Any tips on artists that would have some good electric bass solos or intros, or even better, some album names? (haha).

try some brothers johnson albums but there is no harm in going to a vst or sample library to get the sounds

Brothers Johnson, there on a P-Funk tip right? yeh i like that bass sound.

I got a few bass samples i've made from a Moog VST and some i've made from 808 kicks, and i'm not really feeling the multisample packs you can get, their too clean and dry sounding, i'd rather sample some myself off vinyl, seeing as they've already been recorded through vintage analogue equipment to tape etc.

I'll look out for some Brothers Johnson LPs though, cheers.
