hey ya, I copped a turntable and got a bunch of vinyl from my father (I don't live with). Got like 28 of them. Mainly classic stuff... according to him. I'd post 'em up if ya care to know which ones I have. Currently I'm in the process of converting each vinyl, song by song, to a wav track with Pro Tools. This way, I listen to the each song and I've been takin notes on like what I hear when. Like when there's a drumbeak or a section where only an instrument plays (no drums) like riffs or whatever. But yea. It's been pretty tight. It's time consuming but I have all the time in the world right now.
Got some bad luck lately tho, had to drop my macbook off at the apple store here in NYC. Had some problem going on that turns out had to do with my Mbox. I think we solved the issue though. I downloaded an update for Pro Tools at the site, didn't even know was there. So yea.. now I find out today my speakers are blown... I'm pretty sure. And I JUST bought 'em. Spent like $400 for the pair. They're some KRKs. Decent I suppose but now it makes... like this crackling sound at the end of a kick sample, for example. Or even a snare. But yea, it's like a popping sound something like what I hear on these vinyls. >_< I'ma call them tomorrow and see what can be done.
