^^^^ fair enough, you'd know better cuz in 98 i only knew what the 909 was... but at the same time you have ppl my age (20) thinking Soulja boi and lil wayne are "running the game" and T-Pain is a good singer and the best producer out and think Daft Punk are "New Jacks" and are trying to be like Kanye.

sample pack music from 97-99 sounds better then %90 of what is being called music for the past 7 years, to me at least...

It's to hard to pick one year

73-74 for funky soul
69-71 for some funky jazz (Kudu, CTI)
77-78 for disco, like Mikael said, it was more raw
also great year for mellow soul and psychodalic funk. Great Rock too

84-85 for cheesy popsongs

91-93 for hiphop
94-95 for radio friendly r&b
1999 was a good year overall in my opinion.

2004- for crunk before it became played out.

These are my favorites

+1

1977 was a fantastic year for music.

Very very true about this year and the quality of disco music at that point in time.
