I got a really quick question

Sample vs. Interpolation

I know interpolation is a form of sampling but I am trying to clarify the difference? I'm thinking that interpolation is like when you do the same song as someone else? Like Kanye West Interpolated that Lauryn Hill Song "all falls down" because he has syleena singing it, and someone playing to the same tune :?: .

But thats my thinking....Let me know whwat you all think!!!!

That what I was kinda figuring, thanks for the reply :)
