One of my favorite records stores when I lived in the Bronx was S.O.S. Records on Castle Hill Ave. It was a very small shop till they expanded it a lil' in the late 90's. When it comes to Hip Hop, House, R&B, promo only records, imports, dj equipment, they were always on top of their game. Even had some funk, older 70's & 80's too. I'm pretty sure they're still open so, if you find yourself on the Cross Bx. Expressway, get off on Castle Hill Ave and check 'em out.

I'm about to start hittin the shows more often . There are record shows in most cities . Somebody even made a post in this forum on that topic . Also you have the specialty stores opening up now . They comb through all that b.s. and stock all quality . You might have to spend a little more though . In between that though , never rule out thrift stores , flea markets , bookstores etc. I found a mint promo of Bohannons "Stop & Go " Friday in the Salvation Army .
