You're going to kill vinyl again!!!

Record companies are re-releasing a lot of old records and also releasing new recordings on vinyl and then have the prices so high that stores have to charge $23!!!!! You greedy mother f**kers. You will kill the small resurgence in vinyl for good.

they should bundle vinyl with each cd in certain genre's that way could justify the 16 dollar cd prices some stores still charge

If you buy the record you should be able to download it for free, as you've paid for it.

I saw a Tupac "All Eyes on me" album for $42. repress

They wanted $32 for "3 ft high and rising" repress

I grabbed a couple re-presses of "A wolf in Sheeps Clothing" for $16 each... but the quality isn't the greatest. Same thing with "36 Chambers" ... 2 of em $16 each.

I was hoping to replace a wack of vinyl with re-presses but the price is keepin that to a minimum

Some do this already. The Mr Scruff singles released over the last year or so have all had download codes

Or throw in a free copy of the CD like the Blakroc LP

this may seem dumb, but I kinda wish serato had an algorithm to make the mp3's sound like vinyl instead of just being able to play em with the vinyl

I guess is good if you transfer from vinyl into your comp will catch the snap crackle pop though



If I pay 42 bucks for a repressed classic like pac "all eyes on me" it's goin on my wall in one of those frames for records . but is worth the money for multi purpose use like that, being half the fun of buying vinyl has always been the bigger artwork to look at.

My mixer has a "vinylizer" knob on it, supposed to give anything run through it that "vinyl sound" I think it just adds bass

Yeah I'm thinking when I get a place proper most of my vinyl will be in blank (named of course) cardboard covers and the actual covers will be my wallpaper cos whats the point of all that good art work sitting stacked so it can't be seen.

I already made a 4x4 at a mates house. Looks mint.

Yeah, some places are charging $40 for a re-issue on a 180g pressing. I almost paid $45 for a "rare" out of print splatter wax on Ebay. It was the only copy I have been able to find, until, I looked up the record label website and found the record for $28.

I have bought some new records that have the MP3 DL link. Which was great, I just added the MP3 to my iPod.
