Adding Bass On Beats

Hi,
I first told you about my troubles to find good drum sounds, and now, as i'm geting more and more drums, i have a new problem.
Indeed, on many beats, i have to add a bass line over the sample, but i don't know how to get a good bass sample.
I first started by sampling my Roland Juno-D Synth, but as i don't really know how to settle the sounds parameter, effects (...) on it, my bass samples are not really good.
So, i wanted to ask you how you get nice bass sounds. By sampling Synths? Or is there good kits i can find on the web?

Search the Production Techniques section. Loads of info on there. But for me I either filter my samples or use synth, depending on what sounds better.

The Motif has some really insane bass sounds... thats what I use for all my bass... U can also download bass sounds from the net and sample\filter\16 level it...

they're is also some great vsts that have good bass sounds... u can even get free ones that will do the job well...

Im just gonna give you one idea, detune a piano sound for instance, put a bit of lowpass over it and BOOM a bass sound.
