I'm off on a dig tomorrow for the day, quite a big one too since I have to travel to the decent stores.

Do many store owners have issues with portable turntables? And whats a decent portable that usually easy to get hold off? Will be grabbing one before I go on my quest tomorrow.

Im still new to digging, so often its hard to get anything decent when you go digging without a specific track in mind. Usually end up with a load of junk, be nice to get my moneys worth for once.

most owners don't care as long as you don't open something without their permission
but it can be hard to hear if the music is loud in the shop

The Numark PT-01 is pretty good for a cheap portable one, that or an old fisher price kiddy one. I haven't had much problem bringing one in, just have nice isolating headphones and a comfy stool.

Oooh forgot about this.

I didn't manage to get one, but the guy at the shop set up a turntable for me. Never really spoke to him before but had a good chat about diggers. He's an old dude but he said "I can tell by looking at you you're a sampler". He started digging bits out for me to check out. Loads of stuff with breaks on them.

Few more sessions in his store and I'll get DJ Shadow access to the basement. LMAO!
