Would you really put all that effort into something while trying to dig in a new spot close to closing hours? Would you really TRY to invite a girl who has no interest in diggin' into the world of diggin and strategizing a way to bring the two together? Keep in mind that the diggin spot is gonna be closing soon. Also keep in mind that you just was just "dug" her out moments before leaving her apartment. Its nothing more to talk about. At least not while I'm diggin'. She can text me when I get home. And thats if I'm not chopping up samples.

LOL. Its always old women in there diggin'. And yeah I can multi-task. I felt like I did multi task. I met the chick, hit it and still managed to make it to the record store before closing. As far as talking to her and diggin' I chose not to multi-task becasue there was no good reason to. I wasn't trying to wife the chick.

She'll be there later, the record store will be closed. I would have told her I'll meet her afterward. Gotta finger those crates before you finger that chick.

She could have helped you carry the vinyl home... A successful haul can be rather heavy.

:)

In my expierence i find that you should never take women or kids with you when your digging because only 2 things are going to happen they're gonna get frustrated and you aint gonna find nothing on some are we there yet shit lol.. I used to take my son when he was younger and we would spend something like 8 hours in one spot buT he was all over the place... Some women dont seem to understand the passion (or sickness) so that can be problematic...Digging is no exact science but it should be fun and if you're really lucky you can find some real gems!! of course so much has changed with the technology so i have seen folks on thier phones hitting the net as they digg but for me I do it the old fashion way hell i like to be suprised... so somtimes i dont even listen to them before i get home especially if it's by an artist i know..again the art (and it is an art) of beatmaking has changed so it's not just about the break anymore or just running the sample (unless your clear it of course) and i know we all have our own methodology when it comes to diggin.. Wether you go by year/name/style/genre/crazy pic/afros/ naked women/ drummers/ who played with who etc... its all really cool but subjective at best... What's important is that its been over 30 years (longer if you count the age of the records) and people are still eating off HIP HOP!!! and were still having these conversations or rather BLOGS/FORUMS (cause most people dont actually talk to each other hahaha) anyway digg digg digg and enjoy!!! Oh yea! and as great negro poets (STETSASONIC ) once said "IT AINT NOTHING LIKE HIPHOP MUSIC"

  Thats some story Meeko!

I took a girl out only once on a diggin' expedition and I'll never do it again  Unless she's one of those Eryka Badu type girls (the mind state, not the figure, but I'll take that too).

She was more like "just pick a record and let's go" attitude but I hit her with the "so' you got something better to do than spend some time with me?" That bought me an extra half hour to dig. I remember I pulled out this Iranian record and she was like "oh, don't get that, that looks crazy and disturbed music!" I just look at her with my Joker face like "YEEEAAHHH!" and she was like "oh my god smh" The whole time she stood next to me giving a face that I totally lost concentration, I think its when she said "no more blow jobs before work" or some shit.
