Dilla and madlib use it all the time. Ive heard it used on two different beats on 2 different madlib beat tapes, its the intro to champion sounds, and dilla used it on donuts and on a track in de la's "the grind date" album.

i also remember magnif using it.

This break goes waaaaay back, everyone should have it in their collection and everyone should use it on occasions.

I was on vacation at disney florida several years back and one evening while visiting epcot myself and the wife thought we'd stroll over to where we heard a band playing, we sat down and almost instantly on que they started playing this track, I asked the guy next to me who they were on stage and he replied back "Mountain"... I thought at first it was a tribute band but he assured me it was THE band and he was a massive fan so who was i to argue...so there i was in the USA, at Disney, listening to Mountain, playing Long Red. my wife never understood at the time how cool that was :D

"Wow, that’s crazy! you know I had a similar experience at Disney World too, heard a band playing 'Long Red' and couldn’t believe it was mountain live! Such a cool moment. By the way, when I was planning my trip, this site really helped me out with finding a good place to stay, https://orlandovacation.com/orlando-hotels Big thanks to them for making the trip smooth!"
