any helpful hints on how to get drums to knock w/out eqing. where is the best place to look for drums ready to go? not talking about the cheesy disks they sell on ebay or jacking an open drum off of someone's record. is it just digging for breakbeats?

Someone meaning other producer or someone meaning everybody?? If you mean every record how do you expect to get drums?

Just dig for open drums. Record as loud as you can without some distortion/clipping happening. I would probly EQ even just a lil.
