I have a recoton phono pre-amp so i can sample from my turntable, does it make much difference sound quality wise, if i used a mixer instead, disregarding eq settings?

it makes no difference whatsoever...

you need to try sampling from both and see which one offers more warmth, low-end, whatever you're looking for..

if you're sampling a thick kik or a bass-line - you may find that you should use your mixer and turn down your mids and highs and up your lows, then again you may want a different kind of sound that only your recoton can offer

use your ear kidd

payce!
