Is there a standard height you should set your platters at?? Like for a competition or anything?? Thanks

standard height? what if yao ming or mini me wanted to rip the 1s and 2s. whatever you're comfortable with man.

lol yeah i hear you man. i just wasnt sure if it had to be the same for everyone if it was a competition or somthing. i mean if your plannin on doing comps and your practicing at a way off table height it might screw up your timing or moves

usually some where around 3.5-4 feet off the ground. You just don't want them up by your shoulders, and you don't want to have to bend down to get to them...... somewhere in that range and you should be straight, but rock something that's comfortable or you won't have fun with djing.

i really dont think there is a standard hieght but thats a good question check out the ITF site they can tell you all that.

put your hand on the record and your ar should be at about 90 degrees. thats prob the most ergonomical height.

dmc champs state on their rules that "The decks and mixer are to be positioned on a stable platform 900mm from the ground."

that would explain why Craze and Qbert do so well in those competitions.

They are both 5'3" tall.
