Not that it matters, but after telling heads again that your not going to give info about a record shop, you then ask for drum ideas? What type of shit is
that... Me personally I'll tell heads every spot in Rhode Island I
know off, because I like the competetion, it also helps to keep the stores open (with extra biz and a closed down shop ain't helpful), and who cares, when there are thousands and thousands of vinyl, who cares... I highly doubt, you are the only person going to the store that digs, or collects... So why not spread the info... Doesn't matter me none, since its usually a positive thing to build contacts and such even on a forum, you have no idea who might be reading, or
who your helping... Telling heads this stuff, is like telling heads in elementary school you just bought the sold out Jordans at such and such, but won't spill the info... If it was dik when I was 12, its still a dik move hearing that shit when I'm 25...

But then again there are heads that won't say info about digging spots, there are heads that try to hide vinyl in random spots in a store, there are heads that buy motif es and rolands cuz they think they can make it because scott scorch or whoever uses it, but there music still sounds like shit...

Oh and if heads are looking for some synth samples try this spot out...

http://analog.no/patch/index.htm

Not much, and not record related, but still trying to just show how spreading info is helpful...

In terms of drums, there are so many records out there... Um for example you can just sample drums from 80s hip hop records (if your looking for them electro tip hits, or even 808s and the like, for more realistic try every type of genre from jazz, big band, rock, blues, and just get used to certain names of drummer you like..

One drum location, hmmm I have a bunch of Grateful dead albums, can't remember the name, but there is a 12 minute song on it, and about 7 of that is just drums, if I remember right... Also buy a portable turntable, and listen when you dig if they allow it...

aight fellers i apologize for dippin back into my teenage years and gettin zack morris on his a$$... retarded i know..

but aight back to the music... cluster that is a d*m good post... i feel ya son... good knowledge out on that.. but at the same time i got my man issues wit his signature close that says "a good digger NEVER reveals his sources".. keep in mind he called me out as well for not givin up the dope spot... basically what i'm findin out is TO each his own.... the NEW spot i found is jus a thrift store not anywere near crazy records in the masses but enought for a "new" digger or so.... thats why i am wary of "outin" it.. but i digress...

ay for example i copped this record for $0.25 jus cuz of the cover on listenin to it it ain't all that...then i see on the back its from 1983.. its called Genesis peep the 1st song are there drums on there i could sample? or am i still jus doing this all wrong.. remember i'm jus tryin to get my hands dirty.... 1st song called mama in the 1st couple of seconds..

I don't totally understand what you are asking?

You bought this Genesis album with "Mama" on it, right?

You've heard the hot drums on that track, right?

But you are asking us if you can sample them ...... ???? Yes, you've got a sampler. Use it.

And what is the point about 1983? If someone told you you cannot sample records made after midnight on December 31st 1979 they were only joking.

So after spoutin off some racist sh!t, you tryin to ask peeps for help gettin started? I don't think I've ever said this to anyone in this forum and meant it:

FU<K YOU!

And don't even try to say that you're not a racist, you already exposed yourself worse than Pee Wee Herman.

PS Note that I even decided not to use my sig (normally "peace1")
