break records?

do yall producers sample off break records...im new to this shit but that sounds mad corny to be doin i can see if its like CARTOON BREAKS or VIDEO GAME THEMES breaks or whatever those are called cuz everyone can get those songs anyway but findin a dusty fingers record and makin a beat is real wack to me

i'm tryin to refrain from answering this ,can someone else answer this i need to take some BP meds i just got struck i an artery.
please help this child.

Man, this question could spark off some huge debate......I've seen it happen in here.
All I'm gonna say is, I try not to (although I have used samples from "unholy" places before.)
But, we have to admit that some of our favorite classics from the past were made off the Ultimate Breaks series.
I mean do you really think that every person who has used the Impeach The President snare actually owns an OG copy?

Yeah sample off break records, it dont matter as long as u can do something creative with the sounds ur using and it sparks u to create go for it.

probably would not want to make every track off samples from break records, but u can use anything just do what u want why u asking other people 1st? lol

Grandmaster Flash uses re-issues these days for a lot of the breaks he discovered in the first place. His originals are completely worn out.

I saw Jazzy Jay buying bootleg compilations in the famous store Downstairs Records in NYC back in '94.

No Marley Marl - Symphony Without "Ultimate Breaks and Beats"

Add Mantronix - "King Of The Beats" to that list.
I remember in the mid '80s when the first Ultimate B & Bs were coming out. With every volume there would be a load of new records using those beats just a month or so later.

i got a list of classics i'm lookin for still.

megaton if you got breaks you dont want sell them man , i only want the classic breaks original if possible .

my man itchy will tell you , i've bought around 100 150 bucks of breaks off him , his stuff is super clean ,so you have to compare to that. imaculent piece's of vinyl he had, if there in great condition i will pay for it.
