Just so u all know some of your favorite producers rack records. I've been digging with A LOT of some the best east coast producers from the early 90's. I dare some of u cats to ask them "what type of person are you?" Issues is absolutely right though, vinyl is mos derf sacred which is why I feel it needs to be in the hands of someone like myself or any other digger out there who truly appreciates the music of these forgotten artists as opposed to some dick who is only trying to make a quick buck and thinks that because records are "old" they're all worth a shitload of money. Thats why I'm willing to risk jailtime for music. Johnny Dankworth, Raymond Lefevre, Cannonball Adderley, Joe Castro and thousands of other artists need to be rescued from the clutches of the evil record dealers aka the gargamels(The bad guy from smurfs) (I realize I'm romanticising(sp?) it) So who's with me?... anyone?... hello?... Bueller?

the only store i can say that u werent wrong for rippin off is dusty groove--cuz they're overpriced ass holes ($10 in the bargain bin??? i mean, come on)

before you condemn the entire record collecting community to people who are in it for profit, consider the others who ar just like you who want to keep the music sacred and close to the soul.

i frwuent my spots so much that i've probably seen u around here before...

and the thing that makes you dangerous is the fact that u know what ur stealin, as opposed to a guy that picks any ol piece of wax and leaves the store.

I didn't mean to condemn the entire record collecting community merely those I feel are trying to take advantage of people in the way they price their records, which are the dealers for the most part. For example anyone whos ever been to LA to dig might know of a place called "the record collector" It used to be next door to aron's records but the last time I was out there it had moved to melrose blvd. But anyway I've seen this guy sell a record to a japanese tourist for 150 dollars when 5 minutes before he offered it to me for 20. Anyone that has ever been there can attest to this guy being an **** he even has a slave there, but thats another story. Thats an extreme example of course but the majority of record dealers, I feel, are rapists when it comes to pricing and have no idea about their product. As far as diggas out there like U,issues, we all need to unite and take whats ours

Im actually very sorry to hear about jazz record mart that was a great spot. The reason that place was so great to rack from was because I had a chick that worked there at the time she would let slide me out with stacks

as far as hifi goes, i dont really go to the north side shops, simply becuase the neighborhoods dont particularly take kindly to us negros

the jazz mart isnt closed, they just had to move because they could no longer afford the rent at the spot they were at before. they're in some obscure bassment shop downtown--not too far from where they were (downstairs).

and knowing somebody who works there doesnt really count as stealing--i have quite a few people in several stores that give me stuff for free because of my ever so refreshing personality
