tapes

anybody sample cassettes?

Only my own. (Sometimes I record to cassette and then sample)

Often when I'm in a Goodwill or something I'll take a quick look through the tapes but I've never found anything.

likewise i use tapes more like aesthetically more so then looking for breaks on em or what have you, i dirty chit up on tapes and resample

deff. tapes are dope , you cant get a more better sound sometimes it sounds more crunchier than vinyl..

rrecords and tape you cant go wrong.

Recently I have be taking a sample, Chopping it up how I want it, the recorded the new chopped loop to tape. Then I sample that chopped up loop.

Its alot easier using loops...but I still wanna be creative and chop samples. Also recording to take can help make some of the chops that are a little to "choppy" blend together nicely.

I have some old horror/detective and kiddy cassettes. Sampled a few.

I collect movie score cassettes to sample from,

also I do sound design on my computer.
then record to tape
then record sample in my hardware sampler
