Billy Paul

Never heard of him but I bought his "War of the Gods" LP yesterday. I didn't think it was like the dopest shit I ever heard but it was good enough for me to get interested in some of his other stuff. Anyone have other stuff by him?

the dollars circulate sample is by him that 9th, dilla (and me) flipped. he also has some other pretty good tracks. haven't copped a LP yet but got some songs from the net

"Going East" is dope, i highly recommend it. On that psych soul tip, sort of in the vein of Curtis Mayfeilds "Curtis"

I think i only have one...Its 360 degrees??? Anyone else have it?? Its been used before but i havnt listened to it all....

Yeah, i found it a couple weeks ago. Also the only/first billy paul record i got. It’s been sampled by fu schnickens sp?, mop, and someone else.

yeah yo i to just picked up the war of the gods, went out the next day and bought all the billy paul i could find. That war of the gods track is serious.

Yeah Billy Paul has some real hot samples on 360 degrees...as a matter of fact I used his samples EXCLUSIVELY in both of these tracks...
