damn 25.00? My limit is $15 and thats only if its a Sun Ra joint.

I look at the genre (soul/jazz mostly), year, artists and price. I hit the dollar bin if i really feel like diggin'.

1. what instruments were used?
2. what year the record was released in?
3. what genre?

Although, occassionally ill buy something because its a certian label, artist or just has an inspiring cover!

that about sums it up.

Yeah...

Reading covers at times too. You know them Jazz n Classical records often tell you about how an artist came to be, or how they may have tried something new... that can be an inspiring thing to get the juices going. If their story appeals to you that is!!

GZA said it first.

in addition to all the other stuff y'all covered,
i try to read the grooves-look for quieter spots-breakdowns-
lots of dynamics-
these usually offer a wider variety of samples for me.
but an ultra-hot cheesecake babe sells me any time if
the price is right:)

1)if the ***** on the cover looks super gay an corny.
2)i look at the Record label
3)what instruments are used..
4)tv or movie theme music.

What? I am the only one with a list??

I keep my shit organized.. Genre, Artist, Album... What I was interested in sampling it for, etc.. I ain't messing wit no filler... Its got to be killer.

Don't get me wrong, I take chances on shit every now and then.. But a good day of digging ... Is a day I am crossing shit of my list.... And only paying .99 for em
