My wifes uncle owns a record store in CT and finally told me after 3 years of marrage. He has a 2 story building full of records. Well My first box just came in and its great. All i pay for is shipping and he is going to send me a box a month of stuff. I got about 25 this box, i will report on the records later and the name of the shop in ct since i know alot of you are close by the area.

First record on is spyro.gyra "catching the sun" beatiful drums and guitars on this joint.

Brass city records is the name of the spot anyone been there.

spiro gyra is slept on big time. my old mans got like 6 lps and its all good shit

yeah spyro gyra records all ways got nice shit on erm. I got about 5 ,most them have got some weird fairy shit on the cover!

had a similar experience recently. minus the free stuff.

was in a local guitar/music store and saw about 50 or so records for sale.

all in MINT a$$ condition. so i bought more than half of them and asked the owner what was up.

turns out he has a sh!tload more, but since they are consignment, he hasn't gotten around to putting them on display yet.

get to talking more, this building was an old cinema and they have set ups for recording/broadcasting/tutoring and the works. They also recently struck some sort of deal with M-Audio to get some demo products out there.

just so happens that the buddy that was with me works in a drive through. He offered to help promote this guys business and dude's eyes lit up.

he ended up getting all of our contact info and is supposed to be contacting us.

also, just a week ago i scooped about 35 records from this obscure ass flea market that i found in the middle of nowhere...

that included

Parlaiment - Clones of Dr. Funkenstein (Sealed with bonus record offer inside)
and
Gilberto Gil - Nightingale (sealed)

not super gem's, but that was on top of all the other funky records that i got there.

much too cold up there this time of year. it was close to 70 today in nola.
