Yeah I stopped checking for labels I was gettin kinda restrictive in my sounds, although I still check for CTI/Kudu and 60's Capitol.

I'm all about checking the instruments on the back first, seeing if there are any recognizable names, then giving it a spin on the portable.

I tend to come up on some gems that way.

There is good stuff to be found anywhere. I once found some great drum tracks and fx on a couple of albums with children's fairy tales set to music. The drums actually sounded kind of stuffy, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with mixing. Just use your ears.. maybe there this 1 second on one of those easy listening albums that is worth it.

yo mpc4000 you right I figure that's cool I mean I've made hot tracks with 4 1second clips and made my own loops it's just that jazzy stuff is sooo abstract and sh1T they always have something out there on it like some weird drums and what not
