Grandmas House and Record Player

So right now im in a position were i really want a turntable but i do not have one....so i find myself at my grandmas house the other day looking at the collection of vinyl she has and my heart is literally beating out of my chest because i cannot use any of it. Then i started doing the math....vinyl + vinyl + more vinyl + some mo' vinyl = record player. Yeah it took me awhile. So i check the record player out and the only jack is a HEADPHONE jack. Is it possible to sample through this if i had the right chords and converters. If not is there another way?

what do you mean..do gotta have a mixer or sumthin how do i do it

take a 1/4in plug and go from the HP to the input of a mixer so you can get a hotter sound and you can clean it up a bit.

i have a califone turntable that has a extntion for speakers and this is how i would do it .

but i have a dj mixer tho that runs in to my 12chl mixer

now what if i dont have a mixer?

anyways try to look in the paper too to see what you can afford. the shi+ is gettin cheaper.

yea it takes time..i got a boat load of records..but no mpc yet..jus saving up....but i dont listen to them and try to find loops or hits or anything i like...i write down what lp, song, etc...so when i do get the mpc ill go str8 to it!!!

anyone wanna donate and mpc lol...
