56 or 54 or 07

my favorite mixers

my 54 is out right now, 56 and 07 are in the closet....

07 and 54 are the classic battle mixers, along with the 05..

but

i would recomend the 56 over all.....

Yes, I'm a Xone:02 owner. love it.
honestly, i don't really know how a PCV fader feels anymore. I think it feels like the PNG. dunno.
My PNG has a little tension, but I can easily do fast techniques and all that other ish with it. no prob. I recommend it.
and according www.skratchworx.com the Allen And Heath Xone:02 is going to be shipped with the Pro-x-fade as standard pretty soon. I'll def recommend that even though i like the A&H faderknob better than the PXF/rane knob.

the rane 54 has a pure shit crossfader, plus it's got one helluva lag. I personally wouldn't buy any scratchmixer from Rane unless the number was 56.

why people pretend it's 1999 and recommend the 07? the Allen and Heath Xone:02 and the Stanton SA5 kicked its ass the second they came out.
07 just isn't competitive anymore. the linefader curves are cool tho.

I have an 07 and like it very very much. I know it's shortcomings but I don't wanna upgrade my mixer since there's other gear I need more. After all, an 07 is not a piece of sh*t battle mixer.

I always rocked a pcv fader but well tuned to my liking (dead space mod, lubing it so it's real smooth and all) but recently I got a pro x-fade for free and love it to death now.

I'm just not satisfied anymore with the 07 sound quality wise but it still gets the job done. If I would upgrade I'd either get a pioneer or ecler. Ultimately I'd get the Rodec skratchbox but that's way outta my budget at the moment.

I'm gonna try to fix my technics mixer. The quality of the faders is utter crap but the sound quality was ace.

Yea, thanks for the info. I'm looking for one for a while already, but maybe I'll wait a little longer and see what they come up with.

My 54 is still kickin. it's been through alot as far as gigs go. I even spilled milk on it once. It still works the like the day I got it 6 years ago. I
I only had the change my faders once.
