i see theres 7" 45's out there, but are they good to sample with. Whats the big difference between the 12"s and 7"s

I prefer 12" to play.. but the sound from 45's is acually better to sample from...

heres some more sizes theres 10,16,78's well actually those are speeds but they come in different sizes too.

To the guy who mentioned 78's. I've got some from the late 20's through the 30s. That stuff is **** grimey sounding even after cleaning.Thick and heavy as hell too.

45s are louder.

The bigger the groove is cut into the record, the louder it can sound. A tune cut onto one side of a twelve inch can be cut much louder than the same song cut onto one side of a 7", because of the space limitations. Take 70's disco singles as an example. Surely techgoody was just pullin everyone's chain.

..depends on the length of the tune. If you do the maths it follows that a 7" single of a tune from an album that has 5 tracks on each side will probs be louder.
