When I was in Cali I found this record:

I've googled the hell outta this joint, and there's so much conflicting info. There are very few mentions of this on LP, but apparently there's also a CD.

Does anybody know anything about the origins of this record? I found it in the Prince section at Amoeba. I feel like somebody on this forum knows something about it...

its on a label called natural. it has dice under the letters on the logo. the label itself is pink.

i havent found any pics of it on google image search.

there is no date on the label at all. but according to certain sites its supposedly between 1986 and '89.

i'll take a pic of it on my phone right quick...

I'll have a look when I get home to I've got a Jazz encyclopedia with most of Miles albums in it.

looked in a price guide published in 90: no record. under both miles and prince. snap. maybe it was a promo and ultimatly was only released as a cd, so that is why there is no records of it. or maybe ish was jus under the radar and was lost in translation. if you look hard enough you will find somethin im sure

Lord Toranaga wrote:it is definitely a bootleg.

prince always does crazy projects that never see the light of day.

ffor instance he had Kevin smith make a complete movie for him, that was scrapped.

bootlegs are hard to find information about.

thanks peoples

i thought it was a bootleg considering it didnt have any date/real label/the traditional stuff that be on records, but i didnt know that vinyl was bootlegged too.

anyway...the record is mighty dope. some of the songs are a little under par in terms of sound quality. but overall its a bunch of songs i've never heard before.

again, thanks for the info everyone.
