What Hiphop/Producer magazines should I look into?

You can check out EQ and Mix also Electronic Musician, I have subscriptions to all 3. Although Eq is more production, Mix (self explanatory), and EM is computer oriented.

I haven't picked up a waxpoetics in over a year. Are they still going strong?

Any old issues of scratch(man I miss Scratch). Grab a copy of Remix magazine. The new issues got Busta on the cover holding a MPC 5000. Chuuch!

Not true. The latest issue is a "rock" issue with bad brains on the cover.

Has anyone checked the Waxpoetics anthology? I seen it in the local record shop. Is it worth buying?

Tape Op is free. I just renewed my "free" (keypoint) subscription, . Really great mag on Production in general, a lot of tips and interviews, A lot of great reviews on new gear... Not hip hop related but music production related, and very useful. Look it up online and get the free sub. I'd pay money for it if I had to.

Wax Poetics is alright, I usually just keep them in the bag for collecting (covers are dope), the ones I've read were entertaining and enlightening. Just got my last one in the mail a week or so ago.

Yeah i get Tape Op through the mail. It's an interesting free read. I don't think it's a producer mag at all. It's more of a mag on sound engineering.

I prefer Sound On Sound though.

lol, yea i knew the second I saw "presented by XXL...." that shit was done. wax poetics is an ill choice cause they will have some good articles and I like to collect em for the covers and pics.

remix is ok too, but really scratch was it for awhile. now your left with stuff like remix, keyboard, mix, general magazines that are really just good too look @ the advertising.
