I can't believe you have lots of records with absolutely no sounds you can use on them!!! Seriously, they really don't have one little snare roll at the start of a track or a few nice chords????.... or a fade out at the end where instruments blur together??? Are they just speech then? Is there not a few words you can extract. Maybe chop out individual words from different tracks & create a your own vocal track ..... hell, why not chop out individual syllables & create your own language!!!!
I'm thinking.......
A:- Make sure your turntable is plugged in properly if you are not hearing anything.
B:- Open your ears & your mind while you listen. Don't think that because a record doesn't have black guys with big afros & mutton-chop sideburns wearing velvet suits with big tulip collars & platform spoon shoes on the cover that it won't have sounds you can sample.
Unless what you are saying is that they are too badly scratched to play without ruining your stylus ..... in which case throw them out.
