Funka Fize

Does anyone know anything about Funka Fize?....a mate of mine got a 7" by them and he recons its worth over £200..

I know nothing of em.

I did a Google search & found a RealAudio clip of a very nice sounding track by them. Really raw, hard funk.

They only did one 45 from what I know. The other side is "because you're funky" both tracks were used in the number song routine in brainfreeze. "Because you're funky" has those lyrics and they mix the cut chemist remix drums into it near the end of track 2 (the best part of the mix if you ask me)

Perhaps a couple of years ago you may have got £200 for it, I think you'd be lucky to get that today. I spoke to keb darge about it and he said and i quote "ooooh we were finding boxes of that record in the states" I was like why didn't you bring some back!!!! :evil: Which also might explain why shadow threw his copy into the crowd at one of the freeze gigs!

Still in demand though, but doesn't seem to come up really!?

I def need one though, is it for sale living bate?

his name is Chris...I don't think he's got any plans to sell it..he's got a a few rare 45's

Despite sounding great on both sides of their only (known) vinyl outing..... you've got to admit. Funka Fize ..... that is a pretty corny name.
