1. can you identify the sample and where it was obtained..

2. for those that can and do identify it.. i mean how yall do it.. how do you know where they come from and also how do yall do it to find samples like this.. i mean to me personally thats some "fire" mad iLL.. don't jus chalk it up to TIME and experience.. itz got to be more then that right? good stuff holla back young'n's...

yeah that first one is a cover of the stone with fire i got a remix i did on my sound click page.
and the 2nd one sounds like some guns and roses but i'm not sure the song but def a rock song

how do i identify these cause i dont just listen to one style of music i listen to a variety of music , cant be to closed minded youkno, i have a wide variety of music in my collect from hiphop techno,house ,rock.funk, soul,oldies, classical,jazz, blues. obscurety's all kinds of music .
once you hearrd someting you like it sticks in your head and you can i dentify it .

plus i use to like that program in the 70's and 80's name that tune

they should bring that back

I might be wrong because i haven't heard it in a while but they had an album in 69 called Yesterday and Today that was a club issue,and it had the song "Yesterday" on it.I'll look and see if i have it and i'll let you know for sure as soon as i find it.

For the answer to your second question....
4000 already basically broke it down.

Listen for:
What genre does it sound like?
What decade does it sound like?
Does the production style sound familliar? (for example, does it sound like a CTI record?)
What instruments are in it?
Does the drumming style sound familliar?
Does the vocalist sound familliar?

Also.....this is 2005 - use the internet to its fullest. It's a tool available for all of us to use now. I basically found those samples through educated guessing coupled with the internet.

I didn't use "the-breaks.com" or anything like that, though.
I didn't even know the titles or artists of the tracks you posted up originally.

Phabeon what can i say it just a matter of knowing music of the past , i dont know how old you are but i was born in 70's and if i here something that is sampled from the 70's and i recognize the tune i once heard befor in my life, i think like itchy and mpc4000 we are around the same age we prolly listen'd to other music than hiphop, it's just a matter of expanding your herzion'sin music listen to it for your self not for other people. if you hear a group you loke try to get more of there records then read liner notes see who they worked with and what other bands the thank because they prolly have the same sound or something different

you prolly kno the-break.com that helps out a lot , dont just look for who use it , check out the archives and study the names of groups in there thatway when you go out to dig you have head notes of what your lookin for ,
like another thing 4000 said music consumes me , i listen to music and it just stay'sin my head, the longer you listen to different music you reconginize voices and sounds they have ,it takes time to get it , it doesnt just happen over nite, i've been diggin close to 30years and there still songs that i'm discovering that are older that me. you know if you talk to older peoplethan you talk your parents ask them what was in style the time they were teens and buyin records, i'm tryin to find records that my dad use to listen to when i was kid, my parent had a collection but i have blown them away with the crates and music i have i have records that are as old if not older than my dad my pops 60-63, just ask or talk to cool record dealers they can help you out alot.
