Premiere ( Primo ) I mean the list can go on but my point is that there are plenty of dudes that are serious about digging and make good music also.

I guess "Amazing" is one of those relative terms. What amazes one may not even impress another. To each his own. I stand by my origianl statement.

I dont notice much chopping or rearranging going on either, so not sure why hes even mentioned in this thread, yeah I said It, his productions lazy too.

Maybe the techniqe of looping is a bit "out of date" but if you look at the past most of the talented beatmakers used this technique. A dope beat doesn't need more than a good loop (preferly of a rare record) and some drums that match well cause...

It seems like one or the other round here Is it a case of people focusing their energy into digging too much when at the end of the day the only thing that matters is if the music is good?

I agree , but the op set the tone like you gotta be one or the other. I think there's different levels to digging . Most beatmakers or producers don't have time to be the super digger extraordinaire anyway. They just acquire so many records over time and then they start buying things that look unfamiliar. I don't know anybody like that personally, but if I did, I would keep them in my network for the knowledge alone.
