Well when you go digging you cant take your woman, (unless she's really down and i do mean down) kids ,or friends!! and I will tell you why... if the spot is hot the average digg will take at least 4 hours or more(and thats usually without a turntable) not even the love of your life will want to wait that long in a dusty record store without food or drink( for all us hardcore guys) cant take the kids because they are restless and easily distracted thus making you rule the day they were born!! Exception! "if they are old enough to help"(making you a lucky Bast@#$) I was at one time on a personal note LOL..okay and you cant take your friends because everybody will be trying to grab up the same stuff and you know that can lead to some folks taking it personal!! cause we all know we wanted that joint they scooped up hahaha... Plus you have to work in your own pile wait till they get finish and hope they missed something. Which brings me to my recent diggs and how this topic relates.. last night i hit a spot in ooo'ps cant say where!!! but Trust me its a gold mine dude has quality and quanity Staring at .50 per album and again I dont mean junk!! Plus he's cool and has turntables set up so you can listen to them before you buy. I must tell you guys that i did not even notice that until i was ready to leave so I did'nt listen to any and I went 30 for 30!!! which is TONY The TIGER GREAT!! I met 3 guys while i was there and one even watched my stack for me as i had to duck out for a minute..They were not into beats so that was cool..(BESIDES IM FROM THE NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON YOUR STACK SCHOOL) I mean we all know everybody looks and listens for diffrent reasons... After some proper introductions we began to exchane records and ideas and i found that to be quite refreshing thus proving that there is strenth in numbers!!!.Im sure I would have slept on a few if they did'nt point them out..So family and friends No!!! but Strangers ... well you never know who you might meet...

That Van peebles joint is dope... and thats a good woman you have there!!!

i dig with my girl .. she even helps me find joints. i'll be in one section of the store and she'll walk over with a handful of wax. hell she's shown me every good spot in santa cruz. weak? dont care, she's a keeper.

If I digged for 6 hours I wouldn't have any money. Im not real picky, instinct, knowladge, and randomness guide me.

Having a good fellow digger can let you know what records are good, vice versa.

That might be odd or even funny to you but those of us who take this very seriously know exactly what im talking about..Are you kidding me maybe you dont have access to such places or you dont feel the need to own these fine works of art because if you did you would easily understand that it could take much more time than that to locate gems that not every and anybody can download online.(some of us actually enjoy spending all day in pursuit of this happiness)Im not talking about your standard breakbeats, bob james, or dusty fingers!!( not that theres anything wrong with that) cause i still bag them to..Now i might be what some consider dare i say it hahaha a "PURIST" but i dont buy records just chop up i like listening to them as well... IMO I think that its better to own the Originals when you can.That dont mean paying 100.00 or more at a record show for a joint you can get in the dollar bin.. You have to be savy crafty and know what your looking for!!.Im also aware that in this "Digital age" some folks do'nt put that much value on collecting these old records in thier original form but again these joints are priceless to anyone that has them and im sure if you ask them there's a story about how the found each and every one..I also see where some people say they cant find records or dont own many..Well If you are from the tri state area and you want to get it in then get at me and you wont be laughing anymore that is if you can hang!! FYI i dont carry a portable turntable its all in the head but i am thinking about copping an Mpc 500 be fore warned We take this sh#@ real serious

As for originals, I do sets with 45s. But on the real some of y'all take ur selves too seriously

Besides I think that youre missing the point!! its not about having thousands of records ( Cause we got that) and its certainly not about having the latest and greatest equipment (cause we got that to) but its more about keeping the "BASIC ELEMENTS of HIP HOP ALIVE " !!!!
