Why would anyone bring a portable to goodwill man? That's wack...
If you live near Seattle there's a goodwill that has 100's of hiphop singles. The hiphop promo person out there would drop everything there once a week instead of doing his job. I used to get Pete Rock/Mecca and the Soul Brothers, Gangstar, MOP, Tribe, De La etc... for 25 cents each...and all the promo's were in goodwill the same week as phatbeats. It was ill. I don't live anywhere close to there, but I can put you on.

why not, guess he wanted to hear what he was buying, i admit $0.25 aint alot of money but mabey he jus wants to listen before he bought
me, i jus buy what i think looks interesting, it's only $0.25
i stay in Kansas, so we don't get no stuff like that
but yesterday dude was listening to madd hip hop joints, mostly a lot of west coast stuff, i usually don't buy hip hop records though, unless i'm looking for some old dirty drums

My bad man...I came across wrong. I guess for me (don't laugh at me) I always felt guilty listening to 25 cent records because it was charity and ish. I'll listen to an expensive lp so I don't blow the $$, but I hear what you're saying...
Kansas City has some heat...you don't go there?

ill be busy for a bit
she was wishing for some of your good will

Sorry but I have way to much vinyl to not take a portble and listen to them. 25 cents or not. I used to think I could get a sample off everything but now I look for more obscure and tight ish. So I think its tight to listen before you buy. They dont care and like you said its for charity, they are just happy to sell anything. =-)

i get all my stuff from goodwill. just came back from there now, and got a few good finds. alvin and the chipmunks do punk/new wave classics, an african steel drum band record, some weird looking prog, etc. the records here are priced 99 cents, but savers (redwood city, ca) puts them at 2 dollars.
i find a lot of good stuff, like o'jays, donny hathaway, etc. among the herb alpert and barbara streisand at goodwills.

My Goodwill have garbage....I always find better stuff at the salvation army!
And I never really found jewels at the salvation army......I think there is another cat who get's the drop on me around here.....thaz why I have other spots where everytime I walk in I hardly ever see cats who dig hip hop....and I usually buy the most records outta anybody there....so the owner looks out for the dude!
