I do I have another question if you dont mind tho. How do I record over the beat while its playing with a keyboard hooked into the back. It only has one cable going from a Yamaha PSR-19 out to mpc record in. Then I go to the shift>sample and it only lets me assign each pad one note or like a 5 sec loop. Is there any way I can play along with my beat with this setup?
And same with my midi keyboard I got a M-Audio keystation 49e what note should the midi promgram be set to so that it plays like a midi keyboard like reason on my pc or a piano with the same notes?
Yo man, this might help, you can't sample while the beat is playing on a 2kxl, also....
midi out from PSR to mpc midi input, mpc midi out to PSR midi input.
audio outs from both into mixing board for speakers.Set the midi channel on the PSR any one is fine, just set your mpc track to same midi channel.
Check the manual for settings and the mpc should record the keys onto a track while playing.
its just a midi signal though,so thats why you need both audio sources
plugged in to hear sound, and if you want to tweak the sound you can do it
on the keyboard.
hope it helps
