go to the US?

what exactly are you lookign for ? you looking for the standard records or are you looking for records to trade to get better records??

if your looking for collecting purposes your going ot end up spending the same if not more here than you'd pay in the UK and probably not less, unless you know where to dig...

thier are tons of places in europe you'd be able to dig at that probably hasnt been tapped out or that doesnt know the true value of the records...

sweeden and polland i've heard has some of the sickest percussion and jazz records that you cant get in the states or anywhere else, only though trading with serious collectors...

What do you mean by standard records?

I look for interesting records. I h8 calling what i do collecting. I just look for good music and breaks. I don't really enjoy having a list and knowing what i want to look 4. Of course they have to be what hasn't been touched b4 or rinsed to death.

I also can't stand labeling a price on records. To me they only worth what i'd be prepared to pay 4 them.

Polish jazz and funk records are all over the place if you look. I love buying that stuff! I have quite a few. Percussion records aren't rare, you just need to know your sh*t and know your artists and drummers (if you looking for percussion).

Pfffft...Last november I went to LA. That was just crazy! I found so much great records for like $1 - $10. Since than I only bought a few records back in europe and am saving up to go back again for diggin asap.

i've always been diggin' in the states personnaly
i really buy records in europe occasionally
prices in the us for soul albums won't exceed 25$ whereas for same records here i would pay 50 to 100€ easily

i've never been to poland diggin' but it wouldn't have come to my mind either!
go to the us dog they have real nice stuff there

LA has the dopest records cause we have all the crazy latin shit. Were so close to Mexico and central america. You gotta go in the depths of the the hoods though...

that is so true, i once went diggin' in oakland! Found the dopest records but didn't know if i was gonna be able to bring them back ... lol

PDQ in tuscon, arizona. probably won't be back for a while so I'll give it up. CRAZY!! dollar bins of near perfect vinyl. I asked why cause in the BAY, CA dollar bins are full of wrecked records for the most part, either mad scratches, dirty, or cover is a mess. but they told me their dollar bin is basically a sale of third or forth copies. besides the nice dollar bins they have fat R&B, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Folk, easy listening, soundtracks are cool, its a nice place. If anyones in the area just ask any music store about PDQ in TUson, AZ. its a good find.
