Portable turntable?

I Recently bought a numark pt01 and, even having an average direct drive turntable, I'm sampling on it! I know that many people claim that the sound quality is not so good, but I kinda like it, the samples come raw. Just the other day I saw that Kev Brown uses one for sampling too!

So I never really got an answer, what Stanton needle is it that fits onto the Handy Trax and PT-01?

I really don't know...I use the original one, and for my productions is OK.

i have a numark pt-01 which i used for both digging and sampling. i don't really find it to be that bad for sampling.

i have a regular numark table with the mixer pre-amp but i dont like using it cuz its its bigger and i rather not have a mixer laying in my setup for no other reason than being a preamp.

if the needle becomes dirty or damaged that might pose a problem i guess. i'd be interested in knowing how to change it as well.

the newer pt's come with usb as well and cost the same as the original when it first dropped.

Some place was selling the Ion clone of the PT-01 for $50 the other day.
