dumb to the rest of ya'll , but to me, misunderstood

it's not my music. if i use (sample or dj with) someone else's tracks, then i owe them the respect of acknowledging their creation to anyone who asks.

still, i get pissed when someone bites me by downloading an mp3 of a track that i found after hours of digging. but they never do it with my style and finesse.

and anyway, that's what i did. i went out to clubs, heard great tracks and then went out and found them. and the truth is, i don't play them with the style and finesse of the djs that turned me onto those tracks. i'm no larry levan or frankie knuckles.

It's like Afrika Bambata said though , some peoples crates weren't that deep , so they didn't want to give up a thing . There more heat you have and the deeper your level of rare joints are you dont mind giving up certain joints . I dont mind telling you about the surface stuff , you probably need to know that stuff anyway , but I think you should put the work in for the rare and extra rare joints . Also the way I see it , most of the time when I sample , I'm totally rearranging the song so from that point on even though I used your sounds , it's my little creation .

thats why i think serato sucks ,, im 35 been collecting since i was a kid and djing since the early 90's , some dude just becomes a dj and has thousands of songs of the hard to find stuff..

hey if you have a real collection and get into serato fine but if the only vinyl you own is the serato vinyl your wack !!!

If I sample something Im not gonna tell anyone where it came from.
